Human Resources Partner, Recruitment
The Human Resources Recruiter plays a pivotal role in our organization, collaborating and developing strong relationships to assist in recruiting the best applicants. The incumbent will deliver efficient, effective, and progressive services in employee recruitment and onboarding, strategic partnerships with hiring managers and the identification of qualified applicants that serve the college’s changing needs and priorities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Serves as a subject matter expert to search committees and hiring managers to provide recruitment guidance, consultation, and expertise in alignment with federal guidelines, college policies, and procedures for recruitment activities.
- Collaborates with hiring managers and HR leadership to understand staffing requirements and create comprehensive recruitment plans.
- Utilizes various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and partnerships, to attract a wide pool of qualified candidates.
- Works with departments to develop and edit position descriptions and templates.
- Trains hiring managers and search committees and guides them on best practices for conducting interviews and evaluating candidates.
- Facilitates interview debrief meetings to gather feedback and make informed hiring decisions.
- Manages and expedites recruitments by posting available opportunities on the college website and external career sites.
- Assists with and facilitates all aspects of the hiring process, including preparing offer letters, conducting and disseminating background checks, orientation lists, and other relevant documents pertaining to onboarding new employees, and communication with internal partners.
- Partners with the hiring manager to develop a comprehensive screening strategy to assess the candidates' qualifications, experience, and fit with FVCC’s values.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for web-based Applicant Tracking System support and provides customer service to all users, including department administrators and applicants. Assists applicants with questions on the application process and status and sends system notification of application outcome to candidates.
- Collaborates with colleagues to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
- Provide necessary information and resources to new employees to help them integrate into FVCC’s community effectively.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of recruitment activities, reports, and metrics.
- Assists in developing and delivering training on employment and recruitment related topics.
- Manages the Student Employment program by partnering with financial aid staff, supervisors, students, and community partners on recruitment, employment, internships, student employment, and payroll-related matters.
- Participates actively in continuous improvement efforts to provide efficient and quality human resources services.
- Initiates, communicates with, and assists employees in interpreting federal or state laws, human resources/payroll policies, procedures or other personnel related changes; reviews and makes recommendations on human resources and payroll policies and procedures; assists in interpreting policy related issues.
- Serves on college committees and may assist with new employee onboarding and orientations, trainings, unemployment, special projects, and other initiatives.
- Remains current in practices, trends, and research related to areas of assignment.
- Attends related trainings, recruitment events, workshops, and professional development.
- Cross trains to perform other departmental and team functions; backfills for staff as needed, may supervise staff.
- Actively participates in the development of a climate that promotes and supports innovation and efforts to continuously improve services to students, faculty, and the College.
- Creates and maintains a collaborative and collegial environment with colleagues and maintains effective working relationships.
- Maintains professional ethics and confidentiality of students in accordance with applicable laws and policies.
- Advances the mission of FVCC by serving on or convening committees and contributing to the community in college-related activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Reports to the Executive Director of Human Resources.
- Bachelor’s degree AND two years of related work experience; OR,
- Associate’s degree in a related field AND four years of human resources experience; OR,
- An equitable combination of six years of higher education and directly related human resources/recruitment work experience
- Human Resources work experience in an educational environment or public organization.
- Work experience directly related to full-cycle recruitment.
- Work experience with applicant tracking systems.
- Work experience with human resource and payroll information systems.
- Human resources national certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
- Working knowledge of recruitment best practices in candidate sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
- Working knowledge of higher education and job market trends.
- Ability to communicate effectively with candidates and hiring managers.
- Ability to build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and all staff across the college.
- Ability to use various assessment tools and techniques to determine the right fit for each role.
- Ability to track multiple recruitment processes simultaneously and maintain detailed records.

Ticketing & Patron Experience Manager
The Paul D. Wachholz College Center is located on the main campus of Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell, Montana. As the premier performing arts facility serving western Montana, the Wachholz College Center (WCC) features a 50,000 square foot facility that includes a 1,014-seat performance and lecture hall (McClaren Hall), a multi-purpose event & activity complex with two basketball courts (Stinson Family Event Center), an outdoor amphitheater (O’Shaughnessy Outdoor Amphitheater), music education spaces such as the Swank Recital Hall located in the Stewart Family Performing Arts Wing, and a two-level lobby (Karas Reception Hall) with an art gallery (Wanda Hollensteiner Art Gallery).
The Wachholz College Center (WCC) serves the community and college as a premier venue for national touring acts and local/regional artists while also serving as the home of the Glacier Symphony Orchestra. For this reason, building and maintaining relationships with community members is essential. WCC annually hosts a variety of ticketed performances across all genres of music, theater, film, and dance while also hosting numerous private events and classes. WCC’s mission is to provide transformative experiences that connect the community through the arts and serve as a cultural resource for Flathead Valley Community College students and the region it serves.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Oversees ticket office operations, manages the computerized ticket system, builds new events, creates season packages; monitors holds, returns, and inventory; processes system upgrades and patches; works with staff to reserve artist holds and/or other seat holds or comps.
- Manages the successful sale of tickets through all channels: in-person, web, telephone, and group sales. Manages will call, reprints and night-of-show sales for all ticketed events taking place at WCC.
- Updates the WCC website and indoor marquees to ensure events are properly displayed. Manages other patron-facing messages and communications such as “Know Before You Go”, announce/on-sale e-blasts, etc.
- Ensures patron satisfaction, is a welcoming face of the College Center for its patrons; provides solutions for complaints or disputes; coordinates with staff and company managers to resolve event issues; builds relationships with regular patrons, members, and donors.
- Hires, trains, and supervises the front-facing patron services team in a fast-paced, event-based environment. Provides leadership, mentors, motivates and empowers staff to create environments that promote innovation; sets standards for excellent customer service with the WCC Director.
- Coordinates ticket office activities with the master event calendar and schedules staff.
- Leads in the development of a climate that promotes and supports innovative services to the College Center.
- Maintains and continually monitors standard operating procedures, and establishes the flow of information to other departments.
- Maintains and monitors all elements of financial accountability for ticket sales, subscriptions, and use by rental clients. Prepares and submits timely and accurate reports.
- Coordinates with Event/Production managers to settle rental events and performance contracts
- Oversees and maintains a clean and current patron database for use by marketing, programming and FVCC Foundation; generates reports on request
- Recommends methods for continuous improvement to the Director of the College Center
- Represents the college at community and college affairs, establishes effective relationships with community leaders as appropriate; acts as “Manager on Duty” for events, as needed
- Creates and maintains a collaborative and collegial environment and maintains effective working relationships
- Keeps abreast of the latest developments in relevant areas to help build strategic initiatives.

- Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of one year of professional and supervisory experience in a performing arts ticket office; OR,
- Associate’s degree in related field and a minimum of three years of professional and supervisory experience in a performing arts ticket office; OR,
- A combination of five years of higher education and professional and supervisory experience in a performing arts ticket office
- Hands-on experience with ticketing, CRM and website CMS platform systems
- Experience with AudienceView Unlimited
- Experience in a public, non-profit, or higher education campus performing arts center and an understanding of how all of the elements of live events fit together
- Ability to manage the complexities of computerized ticketing systems
- Demonstrable evidence of strong customer service experience; the ability to think quickly and solve problems to ensure the comfort and safety of patrons; skill in conflict resolution
- People skills; a talent for diplomacy; a friendly approach that can be efficient and firm
