The successful applicant must have a (4) four-year college degree from an accredited college is required. This would include, but not be limited to, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or other discipline. Five (5) years of successful supervision and management experience including the verified experience of managing large projects with assigned employee accountability monitoring. Experience managing complex projects which include the cooperation of others and managing performance outcomes and diverse functions is required and will be verified. For example, developing an annual work plan with fiscal requirements, engineering requirements and operational or crew obligation for system investment. Incumbent must have demonstrated successful experience in public relations. Must possess analytical and communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. This includes the skill to communicate across cultural and educational barriers in a diplomatic and effective manner, especially with the customers of the utility. Incumbent must be willing to travel outside of the Flathead Reservation area to attend meetings with other agencies and, to attend training sessions, and other professional and related activities. Documented successful experience working with governing boards/entities. Incumbent must have a working knowledge of Tribal Governments and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Incumbent must have experience reading, interpreting and applying federal regulations. The incumbent must have a valid Driver’s license and be able to maintain the driver’s license in good standing while employed.

Closing date is Open Until Filled – Screening to begin April 25, 2023. The successful applicant, if not already employed by Mission Valley Power, must pass pre-hire drug testing and serve a mandatory fifteen (15) month probationary period.
